Thank you for visiting tnnmc.org (the “Site”), operated by TNNMC – The Nursing & Midwifery Community (“TNNMC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, the legal bases for processing, and the choices you have in accordance with global regulations including the EU/UK GDPR, California CCPA/CPRA, and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP).


1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide to Us

  • Account & Profile Data – name, email address, password, licensing credentials when you create an account or contributor profile.

  • Job Application Data – résumé/CV, cover letter, work eligibility information when applying to postings via our forms.

  • Contact & Inquiry Data – information you submit via comments, surveys, email, or chat.

  • Newsletter & Webinar Registration – name, email, employer, specialty.

1.2 Information We Collect Automatically

  • Log File Data – IP address, browser type, referring/exit pages, date/time stamps.

  • Device & Usage Data – pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, time on page, through Google Analytics 4 and similar tools.

  • Cookies & Similar Technologies – first‑party and third‑party cookies, HTML5 local storage, pixels (see Section 8).

1.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Social Media Auth – basic profile data when you log in with LinkedIn, Google, etc.

  • Job Aggregators & Partners – position details if you import listings via API.

  • Affiliate Networks – anonymised transaction IDs to confirm commissions.


2. How We Use Your Information

3. How We Share Information

  • Service Providers – hosting (AWS), analytics (Google), email (Mailchimp), payment processors (Stripe) under data‑processing agreements.

  • Employers & Recruiters – résumé/CV data only when you apply or opt‑in.

  • Advertising & Affiliate Partners – hashed or pseudonymised IDs for ad delivery and commission tracking.

  • Legal & Safety – to comply with court orders, prevent fraud, or protect rights.

  • Business Transfers – during mergers, acquisitions, or asset sales, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell personal information for monetary value. Under CCPA/CPRA, some sharing for targeted advertising may be considered a “sale/share”; see Section 9 for opt‑out rights.


4. International Data Transfers

We are based in India with servers in the USA and EU. When transferring data internationally we rely on:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for EU/UK data;

  • Contractual obligations ensuring equivalent protection for Indian Data Principals;

  • Adequacy decisions where applicable.


5. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes outlined:

  • Accounts: until deleted + 30 days backup window.

  • Job applications: 24 months unless local law requires longer.

  • Marketing lists: until you unsubscribe.

  • Analytics logs: 26 months rolling.


6. Your Privacy Rights

6.1 EU/UK Residents (GDPR)

You can access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, or request data portability by emailing privacy@tnnmc.org. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

6.2 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

You may request disclosure, deletion, correction, opt‑out of sale/share, and limit the use of sensitive data. Submit requests via privacy@tnnmc.org or +1‑888‑555‑NURS.

6.3 India Residents (DPDP 2023)

As a Data Principal, you may access, correct, erase and nominate a data fiduciary for grievances. Contact our India DPO at dpo@tnnmc.org.

We will verify your identity before fulfilling requests and respond within 30 days (GDPR) or 45 days (CCPA/DPDP).


7. Children’s Privacy (COPPA)

The Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have done so, please contact us for deletion.


8. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use:

  • Essential Cookies – required for site functionality.

  • Analytics Cookies – GA4, Hotjar; you can opt‑out via our banner or browser settings.

  • Advertising Cookies – Google Ad Manager, Mediavine; manage via AdChoices.

9. Marketing Communications

You may opt‑out of emails at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” or emailing unsubscribe@tnnmc.org. Transactional messages (e.g., password resets) will still be sent.


10. Security Measures

We implement administrative, technical and physical safeguards—TLS encryption, regular penetration tests, least‑privilege access controls—but no system is 100 % secure.


11. Third‑Party Links

Our articles contain links to external sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing personal data.


12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy periodically. Significant changes will be posted on this page and, if appropriate, emailed to registered users. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
